Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District

Water Quality

Mention water quality in Monroe County and the first thing people think is we have the largest lake in the state. Yet most people are not aware that a large portion of the counties streams are impaired.  People are also not aware that they live in a watershed or how their daily lives affect the quality of the water with in a watershed.
